Natural tooth can be used as pontic for conservative bridge to achieve immediate esthetic results. This patient reported with mobile right central incisors with pain and swelling in relation to the same. Radiograph revealed calcified root canal with periapical lesion and the tooth was marked for extraction.

Either braided wire or resin fibre can be used for splinting. After bonding the wire to the abutment teeth, 21 was extracted.

The root of the tooth was sectioned, the pulp chamber was filled with composite and the cervical portion of the tooth was shaped like ridge like pontic.

The extracted tooth was placed back in the socket and the tooth was bonded to the wire and adjacent 12 and 21. This treatment plan is very useful for achieving good esthetics after extraction and also to get good emergence profile for final prosthetic work.
